GB Merchant Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group, takes majority and minority equity positions in middle-market companies within the consumer products and retail sectors. Investments are made through our 1903 Equity Fund, a fund with $320 million of committed capital.
Typically, our equity investments are made in partnership with management teams to finance management buy-outs, fund growth, or facilitate restructurings or turnarounds. Target companies usually have meaningful brand equity, or a product or service that is capable of creating a leading and defensible market position.
